In April 2024, I was advised the Michigan Public Sex Offenders Registry was showing Kangas as an "absconder" and "non-compliant".
In March 2025, the Ingham County Sheriff website showed Kangas had been incarcerated on 9 March 2025. This was for "Resisting an Officer." A probable cause conference has been scheduled for 20 March 2025 and a preliminary examination on 27 March 2025.

Three.
(1)On June 19, 2014, a jury convicted him of two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC III) (sexual penetration with a person between 13 and 15 years old), MCL 750.520d(1)(a), when he was 20. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 5 to 15 years' imprisonment.
(2)He was found guilty of (i)stealing or retaining another’s financial transaction device without consent (MCL 750.157n), (ii)possessing another’s financial transaction device with intent to use, deliver, circulate, or sell it (MCL 750.157p), and (iii)use of a financial device illegally obtained or retained (MCL 750.157q). These events occurred while in prison in April 2014. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail for each count, to be served concurrently.
(3)On December 20, 2023, he was sentenced to 119 days in respect of larceny to which he pleaded guilty. The charge was originally Breaking & Entering.
However, his detention in March 2025 may add to the number of convictions.

Hopefully, to act as a warning buoy. Other people have told me that he lied to them too, and they lost money, wasted time, etc. I want to avoid this happening to anyone else, if possible.

I obviously cannot supply a precise number, but people contacted me saying that they sent him money or paid for items for him when in prison because they believed his claim of innocence (as I did). Since his release from prison in December 2018, others have contacted me and told me of how their encounter with him was not a positive one.
